Meet Cristina

CRISTINA, A HOLISTIC WELLNESS PRACTITIONER FROM LUGANO, SWITZERLAND
Cristina Valsangiacomo’s path into bodywork began with a life-altering accident in India in 2010 — a sudden impact that forced her to confront pain, limitation, and the fragility of the human body from the inside. Recovery became more than rehabilitation; it became a calling. Determined to understand the body not only as structure but as a living, intelligent system, she immersed herself in its study.
This turning point led her to train as a physiotherapist in Germany (2014–2017), laying the scientific foundation for the integrative work she now offers worldwide.
Cristina has been living in India for the past ten years, building her professional path there, and now moves between India and Peru, spending part of each yearin South America while continuing her work internationally.
During her years in Germany, she met Tobias from Kambo Berlin, a meeting that profoundly shaped her path. Working alongside him in the clinic and supporting treatments for people facing severe and terminal illnesses, she witnessed firsthand the intersection between clinical care and ancestral medicine. This experience expanded her understanding of healing beyond biomechanics, opening her to the depth and responsibility of working with traditional medicines — a path she now carries forward internationally.
Cristina is an integrative physiotherapist, senior yoga teacher (E-RYT 500), movement educator, boxing instructor, Martial Arts Practitioner (White Belt, First Stripe in Viet Vo Dao, Qi Gong) and facilitator of transformational trainings and retreats across the globe. Her approach bridges clinical precision with embodied depth — combining rehabilitation principles, biomechanics, martial arts, breathwork, and therapeutic touch into cohesive systems of learning.
A central part of her work is dedicated to facilitator trainings. She has co-led multi-week Breathwork Teacher Trainings between India and South Africa, forming practitioners in Conscious Connected Breathwork, nervous system regulation, trauma awareness, ethical space holding, and embodied leadership. Her role is to ground participants in anatomical understanding, pathology, and assessment principles while helping them become confident and skillful with touch. At the same time, she guides deep emotional opening and embodied exploration through daily movement practices centered around yoga and boxing.
She also leads Kambo immersions and practitioner trainings, approaching the medicine with clinical awareness, safety, and ethical responsibility. Her containers are known for balancing intensity with grounded structure.
From this synthesis emerged PhysioFlow Bodywork Training — her three-level professional pathway integrating physiotherapy principles with Thai Yoga Massage and structural analysis. Through this method, students learn to read posture, assess biomechanics, understand muscle chains and connective tissue, and apply intelligent, individualized treatments.
Cristina hosts Sacred Fire and Reset & Renew retreats between India and Europe, inspired by her studies and time spent in Peru. She also leads Rise & Shine Retreats internationally, centered on Yoga, Qi Gong, functional fitness, breathwork, meditation, and evening fire circles with sacred songs and chants.
Across her trainings and retreats, Cristina creates spaces where science meets ritual and structure meets flow. Her mission is to form practitioners and individuals who are precise, embodied, and sovereign — capable of touching, moving, and leading from an integrated place of intelligence and depth.
In 2022, during the lingering uncertainty of COVID in India, Cristina set out alone on her motorbike, completing a full circuit from Goa to the Himalayas and back. The journey was not only geographical, but deeply personal — a way to recover from an abusive relationship, to reclaim her strength, and to rebuild trust in herself and in life.
Ashes to Fire is her upcoming book born from that pilgrimage: a raw and intimate account of solitude, resilience, danger, beauty, and the quiet transformation that happens when a woman chooses the open road to rise from her own ashes.
